Ana Laura R. Santos holds a Master degree in medical design engineering from the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering of the Delft University of Technology. She also completed a PhD at TU Delft conducting research on the adequacy of medical devices to humanitarian aid and emergency relief contexts. Ana Laura Santos is a co-founder of the Rethink Relief international initiative and a case manager at Médecins Sans Frontières Sweden Innovation Unit. At CFIA she contributed to the Frugal Thermometer project and took part in the mini symposium The Role of Design in Global Health.
