On 2 November ICFI celebrated a significant milestone as the first Handbook on Frugal Innovation was presented to Annetje Ottow, President of the Executive Board of Leiden University. The handbook was presented by two of the four editors, André Leliveld and Saradindu Bhaduri. The book launch took place at the DOB-Academy in Delft after an inspiring day filled with workshops and presentations from experts and policy advisors, to celebrate ICFI's 10th anniversary.

The International Centre for Frugal Innovation (ICFI) celebrated its journey over the past decade as a research and education institute in the rapidly expanding field of frugal innovation. ICFI brings together scholars from the three partner universities - Leiden, Delft, Erasmus - spanning various fields such as anthropology, business administration, and engineering. Over the years, the center has established an international network with hubs in Kenya and India, where groups of researchers collaborate with firms, local governments and civil organizations.
